Find a Statue

Welcome

The Peanuts on Parade Committee is happy to announce that this summer, Lucy Van Pelt has arrived in Santa Rosa as the final tribute to Charles M. Schulz, creator of the Peanuts strip as part of 60th Anniversary of the strip. Santa Rosa started its tribute to Schulz in 2005 with "It's Your Town, Charlie Brown" and continued with "Summer of Woodstock" in 2006 and "Joe Cool's Summer" in 2007. The program raised over $700,000 for art scholarships, and permanent bronze statues.

Thirty-two 4-foot statues of Lucy have joined Charlie Brown. Snoopy and Woodstock. Each individual Lucy was designed and hand painted by a Sonoma County artist. Many of the statues will be remain permanent display throughout the community.

Check out our site for locations of all the statues. We hope you enjoy discovering the characters as much as we have enjoyed putting the program together.

You hear “Woodstock contest” and think some radio station is giving away tickets to a outdoor music festival. Lots of us believe it’s fun to sleep on a hillside with thousands of people but there are alternatives. How about a Woodstock contest that ends up with the winner sleeping in cushy bed with access to room service and a warm shower? Ok, so you don’t get to see the “Byrds” go Eight Miles High, but you do get to see another famous “Bird” in all his poses. It’s the “Woodstock” contest and it’s coming your way.
